Great Experiences as a Virtual Assistant

It was mid of December when I was able to get a chance to pursue my new career, an employee to a Business Processing Outsourcing Company, the so called “call center agent”.  It was really a hard time for me to step in into this kind of job. I have no experience at all. I really have no idea of what it is to be a call center agent but then I continue even though my confidence isn`t that big enough to face everything.

I am starting to build confidence when I undergone training as a Virtual Assistant. It was really new to me. I am like a blank paper and unaware of what a Virtual Assistant does. One Virtual Global Business Solutions is a new company and as they started to grow, I feel like roots of wisdom and knowledge started to grow within me as well.

It was really a great experience for me to be on board the company. As we started the training, I was surprised knowing that this company has no age boundaries and realized anyone can be a Virtual Assistant. One way to get along with others was the getting to know stage. Everybody seemed to be nice and as the days passed we were like one family in the office.  Another great experience anyone would ever want to have. The coming days flew too fast.

Going into details regarding the training would take me tons of information. It`s like one in a million, learning and absorbing all the task from a highly experienced trainer we had. For me it’s a great experience. Every day is an exciting day for me; I get to learn new things and new stocks of knowledge are added into my brain. One thing that I was really excited about was editing photos using Adobe Photoshop as well as creating postcards and flyers.

I really wanted to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop before, but I never expected that I will acquire it during the training. It is quite difficult but it is fun and educational. I must admit that there are a lot of hard task throughout the training and they are indeed time consuming. It will take you hours to be over with the task. Like for example the (Broker`s Price Opinion) BPO task.

Based on my trainer`s experience, it took her 8 hours to end up the task and according to her it`s truly stressful. I can`t imagine myself sitting in front of the computer doing the task for 8 hours. One thing that I can never forget was the icebreaker, when we played the game charades. I cannot describe how funny and happy we were during that day. Learning new big and small things are really a great experience for me.

Training is over and everybody is nervous about the results. Fortunately, there are four of us that was retained. It`s new year! Four of us are sitting together inside the office and waiting for the designated task. We are appointed to do cold calling for possible leads and offer our Real Estate Virtual Assistant Services. We all had the same reaction, we were all shy and nervous, but then we just kept on pushing ourselves that we can do it. It`s fun talking to foreign people every day. Admittedly, I am amazed with their accent and how humble they are, though some were harsh over the phone. Luckily, somehow we are able to transfer calls and generated leads.

It is not the end of the training. We are just starting to grow as a radical Virtual Assistant.
